My name is Adam Volcskai. I’m a former athlete of average caliber. As a teenager my constant quest to be a better, stronger, more powerful athlete lead me to my real passion of health and exercise. It all with a pair of Dumbbells I found on the shelves of the local K-Mart and began training in the living room doing what everyone did, curls. As I went I learned of new exercises and added to my regimen. Eventually, we got our first computer and i spent a considerable amount of time reading articles on the muscle and fitness website. I have since left muscle and fitness behind but as a young teen it seemed like the tell all. My training completely changed when i went to Neshaminy High School and played football. To this day I still attribute the base of all of my technique to the days spent in the crowded weight room doing the basics.
Since graduating from high school I have yet to meet former high school football player with the quality technique that was instilled by our strength coach, Coach Wilmont. While I have met a considerable amount of people who know how to lift a weight properly I have found many to have learned these skills much later. My football career may not be filled with glory, but my experience in the weight room changed my life forever. After graduation, I went on to Bloomsburg University and studied Exercise Science, a natural fit. While in college my training changed from one style to another, however, for the most part focused on full body or upper/lower splits. In college, I also began running and have since done multiple races. As I grew closer to graduation my workouts became more circuit based similar in to what I learned to be Crossfit a year or two later. In 2008, I graduated from Bloomsburg university and I’ve worked as a personal trainer at Bloom Health and Fitness ever since.
Today I am happily married to my wife Melissa and live near Bloomsburg, PA. My number one goal in life is to be happy and make the ones around me feel the same. I try to approach this everyday in just about every way possible. My main way of doing this is to get fired up about whatever task that I’m doing. In my opinion, being happy and excited about what you’re doing is a lot more fun than the alternative.
